Double glazed windows: The French Farmhouse, Trentham

          For this project The Good House supplied the double glazed windows, custom made in France to perfectly match a symmetrical and simple design, a true sign of genuine French houses, particularly in the Southern half of France.

Yes ! This is in country Victoria ! (Did you notice the Eucalyptus foliage ?)

From inside the illusion is even more striking !

          For those more interested in the technical side of things, below are more photos at an early stage of the project. Installing double glazed windows goes hand in hand with very good thermal insulation, and there is no shortage of it at the French Farmhouse!
          The timber windows we supplied are fully painted (primer + 3 coat low sheen lacker) and they also come with handle and a fully recessed, multi-point locking mechanism, to guarantee full weatherproofing and security.  Cross bars can be exposed as pictured, or recessed within the thickness of the double glazing, in a bronze or silver, thinner look.

A taste of Provence in Australia - Casa Valeri

Casa Valeri is one of Melbourne's best kept secret, only known by those who truly relish Mediterranean architecture and the style of Provence, South of France.

In 2006, Natalina VALERI, the owner, had a clear idea of what she wanted to build for her Bed and Breakfast accommodation in Warburton. Inspired by European background and culture, Natalina designed the property herself. She fell in love with Provençal style on her first trip to France and kept going back and forth to achieve her dream.

The Good House was a natural supplier since she wanted to source products from France. We helped her getting a wide range of decorative products to embellish her villa.

For that project we supplied:
- the Mediterranean terracotta roof tiles that we installed as well,
- European style casement windows,
- Traditional shutters,
- French Burgundy limestone fireplace,
- Cremone bolts,
- Flamed Anduze garden pots (weathered and glazed).

The result is stunning! As French natives, we are amazed by the work done and highly recommend French style lovers to spend a weekend and enjoy the lovely surroundings.
